Your toothbrush can’t reach everywhere. Flossing is important to access all parts of your teeth but flossing too harshly can cause damage to your teeth and gums.
– Focus on flossing in between teeth.
– Apply a light pressure, especially near gums.
– Floss just once a day.
Once you are flossing regularly your gums should not bleed. See your dentist for a check-up and advice on flossing techniques if your gums continue to bleed.
